Teaching Fellowship for
Collaborative Climate Action
Asia-Pacific Cluster
Asia-Pacific Cluster
The Asia-Pacific Teaching Fellowship Program for Climate Action equips university instructors with the skills, networks, and resources to integrate climate action and planetary regeneration into their teaching practices. Designed for educators across disciplines, the program fosters innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transnational engagement to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing world. This program supports instructors as they extend their teaching and research portfolios toward climate action and planetary regeneration themes.
Build Climate-Responsive Curricula: Learn to embed climate action, sustainability, and resilience into your courses, regardless of your discipline.
Engage in Transnational Collaboration: Partner with educators across the Asia-Pacific region to design co-listed modules and joint learning activities that transcend borders.
Empower Students as Change Agents: Inspire students to think critically, collaborate globally, and lead solutions for climate challenges.
1. Transnational Co-Listing and Collaboration
Fellows will co-develop and co-list activities with educators from other universities in the Asia-Pacific. For example, an environmental science instructor in Manila can partner with a counterpart in Sydney to create a shared climate resilience module. Students will collaborate virtually, analyzing shared regional challenges and proposing solutions.
2. Project-Based Learning
Participants will design online transnational projects, such as creating urban sustainability plans or conducting climate risk assessments. These projects will connect students from multiple campuses, fostering cross-cultural teamwork and global problem-solving skills.
3. Intensive Training and Mentorship
The program includes workshops on climate pedagogy, systems thinking, and innovative teaching methodologies. Fellows will receive ongoing mentorship from regional experts in education and climate action.
4. Networking and Resource Sharing
Join a vibrant network of Asia-Pacific educators committed to climate action. Fellows gain access to teaching resources, case studies, and an online platform for continued collaboration.
The fellowship spans 11 months, including virtual sessions, collaborative project development, and a final showcase of co-created teaching innovations.
